The Lawyer Referral Service is designed to assist people who can afford the services of an attorney. If you have a legal question involving bankruptcy, buying and selling real estate, contracts, credit problems, divorce/custody/domestic, employment/worker's comp, municipal/traffic court, wills/estate planning/trusts, etc., call 724.841.0130 or e-mail the BCBA. The Butler County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) will refer you to an attorney who is experienced in the field of law most appropriate to your situation. LRS staff may provide legal information and alternative referrals to social service agencies for those callers for whom a referral would not be appropriate.

• Please be advised that our service is NOT for emergency legal problems. We have no attorneys on staff to answer questions and we are not permitted to give legal advice of any kind. Our services are limited to referrals only.
• If you are interested in obtaining a referral, please be sure to speak clearly and leave you telephone number along with your name.
• Briefly indicate the type of referral you are seeking such as: Bankruptcy, Child Custody, Will and Estate, Landlord/Tenant, Criminal, Civil Matter, etc.

Criminal Matters

If you are unable to afford an attorney, and have been charged with a felony, misdemeanor, or a summary offense mandating prison, contact the Butler County Public Defender's Office:
