Legal Fee Dispute Information
The BCBA’s procedure for resolution of legal fee disputes between clients and BCBA member attorneys is handled through the Legal Fee Dispute Committee.
A client may initiate a request for legal fee dispute committee consideration by submitting a written complaint to the bar association, along with copies of substantiating materials, if available. Do not send original materials. No phone calls. No electronic submissions.

Attorney Disciplinary Process
The Butler County Bar Association does NOT handle attorney discipline complaints or matters of professional conduct and ethics.
Under the Constitution of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has exclusive jurisdiction to oversee the conduct of lawyers. The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania receives and investigates complaints.
